——— QUESTION 1
Can you tell us about your Military Service?
I served a little over 3 years in the IDF (Israeli Defence Forces). For Israeli’s, some sort of military or civil service is compulsory. Discharging as a Sergeant First Class within one of the combat reconnaissance battalions, I was fortunate enough to train with the U.S. Marines, U.S. Army Rangers, Canadian Airborne and Singapore Marines amongst other nations.
I very much disliked jumping out of perfectly good airplanes while I very much enjoyed my time detonating live mine fields.

I entered the US ARMY as a 42R army musician. I’m currently at Staff Sergeant and my current duties are Platoon Sergeant of 22 Soldiers and the Senior Support Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) for training.
The life lessons were invariable. I became an A student, learned to be on time for everything and have a reputation for getting things done.
I was a 14E- PATRIOT Missile Operator. I left the Army as a SGT. I initially went in to become an officer and instead went to become an enlisted member in the Army.

What is a meaningful highlight for you - either during your time serving or afterward/related to your service?
My time in the military was amazing. I was most proud of all my volunteer service awards that I won while stationed at Fort Hood. I was able to help families in need who needed food and clothing in the Greater Killeen area, as well as my volunteerism around mental health. Most notably was my volunteer work as a mental health therapist at the Killeen Free Clinic. After the military I worked for Novo Nordisk, only to eventually start my own company where I help at-risk students who suffer from educational challenges and differences.
A meaningful highlight for my career would have to be my deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During that year, I was able to support soldiers of several nations, meet Iraqis and experience their culture, and represent our country.
What I believe was most meaningful to me, and what I miss most, is the truly unique comradery developed amongst service members. It doesn’t matter what military, conflict zone or continent you served on - suffering together - while working towards a common goal brings people together in a way that most will not be able to understand.
The most meaningful was going to Diego Garcia in the mid 1980s where we built it up to be a staging base for the Middle East. Diego Garcia was used extensively during the Gulf Wars.

What is your role at 3STEPS4WARD?
Marketing, branding, account management and employee development are all areas I love to bask in! Working with clientele to help actualize their dreams/goals is what I live for.
Currently, I volunteer as a leadership, security and systems advisor for 3STEPS4WARD while still serving on active duty. I also collaborate on customer projects when the need arises.

How does your military service impact or inspire the decisions you make in your work with 3STEPS4WARD?
Find a way! This motto is equally applicable to both my service and how I engage with 3STEPS4WARD on a day-to-day basis. In the military, finding a way to achieve your objective is at the root of every good decision. Working with socially conscious mission-driven 3STEPS4WARD clientele - the motto - Find a way is present at every team kickoff, leadership sync and delivery deadline. Working with the growing 3STEPS4WARD team has also provided me with that sense of comradery I realise all veterans know, love and seek!
My military service has given me the confidence, and leadership skills, to step into foreign situations and adapt. It has also given me invaluable life and career experience training, mentoring and developing people, which are the backbone of every organization.
